The European Universities Rowing Championship 2025 are behind us, but the excitement is still running high!

The #TeamPBŚ crew from the AZS Bydgoszcz University Club proved that they can compete with the best in Europe, and with great results!

Zuzanna Madaj and Wiktoria Zawadzka won gold and the title of European Academic Champions in the W2 class competition. This is the first EAC medal in the history of our university!

“After Friday's preliminary race, we realized that we could reach the podium. We wanted to show that we were well prepared. We only found out after the start that it was the first EUC medal for our university” said Zuzanna Madaj.

“Before the start, we decided to focus on ourselves and calmly ride according to our plan. Our heads were in the boat, not outside it, so we did what we had to do. I put a little pressure on myself before the EUC, but generally these are different, more relaxed competitions, so that students can experience the sport and have fun together”, added Wiktoria Zawadzka.

Nonetheless, these are not the only great results achieved by our rowers:

    5th place in the A final – Madaj, Kocieniewska, Zawadzka, Zając (W4x)

    1st place in the B final – Zając (W1x)

    3rd place in the B final – Kocieniewska (LW1x)

    4th place in the B final – Lepeshov (LM1x)

    5th place in the B final – Lepeshov, Zasada (M2x)

    3rd place in the D final – Zasada (M1x)
