Targeted subsidies
In 2022, the Minister of Education and Science awarded Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology five targeted grants for the implementation of investments related to scientific activity:
- Agreement no.: 7326/IA/SP/2022
The author of the application is dr hab. inż. Maciej Dutkiewicz, prof. PBS from the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Environmental Engineering
Task name: "Structural dynamics analysis system"
Value of financing (total value of the task): PLN 860,000.00
Brief description of the task:
The measuring system is used for dynamic structural analysis of structures used in construction and mechanics. The system components enable measurements and diagnostics of structures in the low-frequency range, characteristic of massive construction objects, such as bridges, buildings, towers and chimneys, and high-frequency characterizing machine systems and laboratory mechanical models. The measurement system will expand the capabilities of the measurement technologies and equipment used so far at Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology, allowing for the development new research directions based on structural dynamics analyses.
Type of investment: Apparatus, Type of investment: Purchase
- Agreement no.: 7313/IA/SP/2022
The author of the application is dr. inż. Tomasz Kałaczyński from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
Name of the task: “Expansion of the research potential of WIM UTP in the field of element deformation studies."
Value of financing (total value of the task): PLN 540,000.00
Brief description of the task:
The investment concerns the purchase of innovative equipment for verifying the degree of deformation of elements of technical objects, consisting of a basic module and a management module.
Type of investment: Apparatus, Type of investment: Purchase
- Agreement No.: 7322/IA/SP/2022
The authors of the application are dr inż. Justyna Sobczak-Piąstka, dr inż. Adam Bujarkiewicz, dr inż. Tomasz Janiak, dr inż. Jacek Sztubecki from the Faculty of Construction Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering
Task name: “Integrated measuring and analytical system for structure diagnostics”
Value of financing (total value of the task): PLN 2,117,118.59
Brief description of the task:
The equipment financed in the project consists of three components: measurement elements and an analytical system necessary to conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests of building structures. These are:
1. A set for precise inspection of geometry and displacements of building objects
2. A set for strain gauge measurements of building structures
3. Set for numerical analysis of building objects
The equipment includes research and diagnostic tools in the field of geodesy and construction. The apparatus parameters indicated in the application will ensure data acquisition for analysis at the highest world level. They will significantly affect the quality and speed of inference. They will also expand the capabilities of the previously used measurement technologies and measuring equipment currently at the disposal of the laboratories of Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology. The planned investment will positively impact the effectiveness of diagnostics of the condition of building structures. It will enable the implementation of research problems undertaken by other world research centres.

- Agreement No.: 7316/IA/SP/2022
The authors of the application are dr hab. inż. Jolanta Tomaszewska, prof. PBS and dr hab. inż. Beata Jędrzejewska, prof. PBS from the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering
Task name: “FT-IR/Raman hybrid spectrometer”
Value of financing (total value of the task): PLN 2,610,000.00
Brief description of the task:
The proposed FT-IR/Raman hybrid spectrometer comprises three main modules: FT-IR vacuum module, FT-Raman spectrometer, and Raman microscope module.
The FT-IR/Raman hybrid spectrometer is a unique system that combines three spectroscopic techniques, i.e. FT-IR spectroscopy, FT-Raman spectroscopy and classic Raman spectroscopy, enabling an extensive range of material testing using the spectroscopic technique, also in terms of application. Its configuration combining these three techniques is a unique feature of the hybrid spectrometer planned to be purchased that distinguishes the device from instruments of this type serving as the equipment of other research centers in Poland.
Type of investment: Apparatus, Type of investment: Purchase
