The first symbolic shovel was dug at the beginning of December this year. With it, the construction of the second stage of the Academic Sports Center began.
Over the next several months, at the intersection of Akademicka Street and Al. prof. S. Kaliskiego, indoor tennis courts, a shooting range, basketball and volleyball courts, a full-size football pitch and an athletics zone will be built. The investment will cost approximately 42 million zlotys.

- In recent years, our university has started implementing the largest investment program in its history, worth over 250 million zlotys. Its important element is, among others: Academic Sports Center. The professional sports complex was long awaited by our students and is an essential infrastructure of a modern, developing campus - says Prof. Marek Adamski, Rector of the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology.

In October 2023, the university commissioned a multi-purpose hall worth nearly 30 million zlotys with futsal, volleyball and basketball courts, gyms and a climbing wall.

- ACS already serves students and employees. Trainings and classes for external groups also take place here. At the beginning of 2024, we want to make the facility more available to the residents of Bydgoszcz, especially our gyms. We are working on the offer - adds prof. Marek Adamski.
