The Bydgoszcz University of Science and  Technology together with the Municipal Waterworks encourages people to drink Bydgoszcz tap water instead of bottled water. Special dispensers have been installed in the university buildings.
Since the beginning of July, employees and students of the Bydgoszcz University of  Science and Technology can draw Bydgoszcz tap water from a total of 19 distributors. Before putting them into use, the water was tested. The equipment allows the consumption of still and sparkling water.

– Bydgoszcz tap water is of very good quality, even better than bottled water, which is confirmed by regularly conducted tests. Tap water in Bydgoszcz is medium-mineralized water, which means that it provides many minerals necessary for health, but at the same time its consumption does not require medical consultation, as in the case of highly mineralized or spa waters - says Stanisław Drzewiecki, President of Miejskie Wodociągi i Kanalizacja w Bydgoszczy sp. o.o.

As part of the popularization of drinking Bydgoszcz water, university employees will receive reusable bottles. – Together with MWiK, we encourage you to change your habits and drink tap water. It is good quality water and available free of charge to students and employees. The ecological aspect is also important. By reducing the consumption of bottled water, we produce less plastic waste. In the summer, for the needs of the university, we have used over 20,000 bottles of water - says prof. Marek Adamski, Rector of the Bydgoszcz University of  Science and Technology.
