On 5^th of November 2024, the opening ceremony of the first Robotic Surgery Center in a Polish public hospital equipped with three installations for robotic surgeries took place at the Oncology Center named after prof. Franciszek Łukaszczyk in Bydgoszcz. The Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology was represented by the Vice-Rector for Development - Assoc.Prof. Szymon Różański, and the Dean of the Medical Faculty - Prof. Małgorzata Tafil-Klawe.

The event was also attended by representatives of the provincial and local government authorities.
