During this year's University Day, the Minister - Member of the Council of Ministers, Łukasz Schreiber, announced that the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology was awarded 70 million zł for the needs related to the launch of medical studies and the creation of the Faculty of Medicine. The university plans to create modern autopsy room. In the third quarter of 2023, PBŚ wants to submit an application for permission to educate medics at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year. The completion of the medical staff is coming to an end. Agreements with other hospitals in Bydgoszcz and the region are successively signed. For the needs of the new Faculty, the City of Bydgoszcz will also provide the University with a Multi-specialty City Hospital.

Funds from the pool of 70 million zl will also be spent on cybersecurity-related expenses. The university plans to creation of modern laboratories for the needs of students and employees of the Faculty of Telecommunications, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
