The Ministry of Education and Science, as part of the program called "Regional Excellence Initiative", qualified for financing the project entitled: "Scientific excellence in the field of agricultural sciences at the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology".

The Project established six strategic aims in the intertwining areas of development-science-cooperation:

• strategic infrastructure - creating a scientific space for conducting experiments in the field of poultry science;
• development of human capital in the area of soft skills and specialist training;
• supporting national and international cooperation and increasing the effectiveness of obtaining external funds to finance research;
• dissemination of results, increasing research openness and accessibility;
• improving educational programs and increasing their attractiveness;
• creating a space for cooperation with business and supporting promotional activities that build and create the brand of agricultural sciences at PBS.

The amount of funding granted is 4 949 000 zlotys.
The project will be implemented in 2024-2027.
The unit implementing the project is the Department of Animal Breeding and Biology.
The person responsible for preparing the application and implementing the project at our University  is Assoc. Prof. Aleksandra Dunisławska.
