On July 6, 2023, the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology signed a contract for the implementation of the task entitled: Design and construction of a photovoltaic installation along with roofing.

In the first stage, a 2x50 KWp installation will be made on two roofs of the buildings of the main campus of the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology at al. Prof. S. Kaliskiego 7 - the Regional Centre of Innovation building and the F building. The plan is to install 228 panels. In addition, the investment involves the execution of a new roof.
The new installation will reduce electricity bills by approximately 2.5% per year for the University's Main Campus.
