The jubilee edition of the National Science Center Days organized in Bydgoszcz by the National Science Center began with a press conference with the participation of the Director of the NCN - prof. Krzysztof Jóźwiak, Vice-President of Bydgoszcz Ms. Iwona Waszkiewicz and Rector of the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology prof. Marek Adamski.
Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology is pleased to host outstanding scientists and representatives of the academic community from Bydgoszcz. During the plenary part, scientists from Bydgoszcz showed their research presentations: Assoc. Prof. Jakub Lipski, Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz; Assoc. Prof. Barbara Bojko, Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and Marek Harat, MD, PhD, Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology.
During the second part of the conference, entitled "Time for advice", specialists from the NCN suggested: what research can be done and how to get a grant from the National Science Center, what to pay attention to when preparing the assumptions of a research project and what the process of assessing applications and selecting winners looks like.
During the discussion panel "NCN grants - application, evaluation, implementation - is it worth it?" The NCN and scientists from Bydgoszcz discussed the role of grants in scientific development, the conditions for practicing science in Poland and the challenges currently facing the grant system. The panel debate was complemented by a discussion with the audience, and at the end of the meeting – was held competition about the NCN knowledge.
#DniNCN is an opportunity to learn about the latest trends in science, but also an opportunity for meetings and discussions that can inspire the next generations of scientists.
