On 13th of January this year, the Bydgoszcz University of Technology opened a new relaxation zone for students located in the main hall of building A between halls A1 and A4, funded by HOLCIM Polska SA as part of its cooperation with the PBS.
The zone was designed by Roksana Iwińska, a student of interior design, who made the shape of the zone refer to the HOLCIM company logo. This layout of the zone is conducive to both individual relaxation and integration in groups.
The zone is equipped with profiled modular sofas, dedicated lighting, pouffes and an accent in the form of potted plants.
The zone was opened by, among others, Rector Prof.Marek Adamski, representatives of the Kujawy Cement Plant HOLCIM Polska SA: Tomasz Blady - Director, Grzegorz Kasprzyk - Head of the Maintenance Department, Monika Delekta Assistant to the Director, Dean of the Faculty of Telecommunications, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Prof. Tomasz Marciniak, Vice-Dean for Education and Student Affairs at WTIiE, Prof. Adam Marchewka, Rector’s Representative for Education Quality and Evaluation Ph.D Marcin Drechny, student, author of the zone project Roksana Iwińska and representatives of the University Council of Student Government PBS, the Renovation Department and employees of Faculty of Telecommunications, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
